Getting the title doesn’t mean you’ll be heard. I learned the hard way that leadership is about persistence, not just brilliance. These are the three lessons I wish I knew sooner.
WOW this post makes me feel soooo seen. I spent a decade+ working on wrangling my impostor syndrome and stepping into my self-confidence. This quote really helped (and still does, frankly!) as a weekly work week mantra: “It’s not about how many years of experience you have. It’s about the quality of your years of experience.” – Jacob Cass
Allison! I knew the first time we met that we were kindred spirits!! I love that this post hit home for you. And that quote is everything—so true. You can be “young” and have gone incredibly deep in your area of expertise. Your experiences are valid! But stepping into that confidence is definitely a journey.

This is such good advice! Bookmarking for sure! 🙌🏻
Right?! It’s definitely not easy, the persistence part was challenging for me tbh, but it’s effective! So glad you found it helpful Sarah ❤️
