Thanks so much for writing this, shame that itโ€™s taken me 40 years to tackle my confidence but itโ€™s never too late. Taking notes ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

It's never too late to learn this lesson! I still have to remind myself. I'm so happy that you're in a place to move with more confidence :)

I've never been one to stick to quotes, but this one stuck to me.

"You build confidence by taking action...every single time you push yourself to take action, speak up, or confront something youโ€™ve been putting off, youโ€™re proving to yourself that you can do it. With confidence."

I've learned to speak a little at a time so that way my voice doesn't grow shakey. Today I'm able to confidently share my beliefs vocally. It takes times, but you'll get there with the proper protocol!

I feel this, especially as a non-native English speaker who works and lives in English!

Jeffrey Pfefferโ€™s Masterclass is very good too!

That's a good shout/reminder that my POV is also cultural. What projects confidence in an American business context means something different.

I have not watched his Masterclass, great share!!

I love the note here on over explaining. Itโ€™s something I had to train myself out of because I was automatically anticipating being misunderstood. Great piece as always!

Same. And I still have to remind myself! Because the impact of being misunderstood and underestimated is very real.

Ugh the stop explaining your wins is so hard. I also struggle to take credit - I default to โ€œitโ€™s a teamโ€
