That’s okay! A certain amount of EQ is required to truly know your team. My advice would be to use your judgment to land on a way to support your team that feels right for them. I’ve never applied a one-size fits all approach in terms of what I say or do (and I’ve managed lots of diverse groups of individuals across racial and gender lines 🙂).
